Raisa has over 10 years of experience as a sustainable development practitioner working on the nexus of climate adaptation, sustainable livelihoods development, and governance. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree from the University of Cape Town and a double MSc degree in International Cooperation and Urban Development. She is currently enrolled as a candidate PhD at the Wagening School of Social Science with a research focus on climate change adaptation governance in African cities. Raisa is the founder of Africa ReAdapt - a pan-African NGO committed to redefining climate change adaptation through the decolonial methodologies.
