Hello! My name is Edna. I am an award-winning urban analyst, consultant, researcher, and author living in France. I am an expert on public spaces, focusing on feelings of insecurity of vulnerable and marginalized populations (women, children, immigrants). I have collaborated with European and American municipalities, NGOs, researchers, and universities with the goal of improving security in public spaces. Wanting to further the impact of my work as a researcher, I founded CITY CITÉ CIUDAD, a consulting agency to help urban actors make public spaces more safe, inclusive, and humane. My work as a researcher and an entrepreneur ranges from high-quality scientific publications to interactive art installations and film. My goal is to take research out of the lab and to be an agent of positive change in cities around the world. My work has been published and shared in platforms such as the Fondazione Feltrinelli, Oxford Urbanists, the Journal of Public Spaces, the International CPTED Association, and Réflexions Immobilières. I'm looking for opportunities to collaborate with urban actors on international innovative projects to improve security in cities.
