Atlantic Cities Association (ACA) is comprised of 20 local authorities that represent almost 400 municipalities.  ACA was established in July 2000 by M. Edmond Herv, the Mayor of Rennes. The goal was to create a network with and for the cities located at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Association supports the promotion of joint actions between members and the exchange of the best practices and solutions for common problems. ACA is an active member of many different bodies and organizations to ensure the Atlantic Arc cities are well represented at the EU level.
