André Francisco Pilon, along his career, held the positions of Associate Professor, University of São Paulo; Psychologist, São Paulo’s State Court of Justice; Director, Ministry of Health; Editor-in-Chief, journal Academus, Collaborator, Journal da USP.

He presented in different national and international events and has authored several scientific publications about his four-dimensional ecosystemic approach to environmental problems, quality of life and the state of the world. His proposal for public policies, research and teaching programmes encompasses politics, economics, culture, education, culture and ethics and implies the shifting of the paradigms of growth, power, wealth, work and freedom embedded into the cultural, social, political and economical institutions, in view of quality of life, biodiversity, resources, living-spaces, landscapes, natural and built environments. Instead of the effects (reduced, fragmented, taken for granted issues), his proposal emphasizes the general phenomenon, in the core of the “boiling pot”, where the problems that menace life survival on Earth emerge and where they should dealt with.
