The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) acts a global meeting place for all stakeholders in the smart city ecosystem. Participants including corporate leaders, public representatives, entrepreneurs, academics and citymakers come together to explore, discuss and debate topics to effect positive sustainable change.
SCEWC 2019 has five main areas of focus: digital transformation, urban environment, mobility, governance & finance, and inclusive & sharing cities.
use Community Manager, Camille Toggenburger, will represent the use platform at SCEWC 2019. The presentation will highlight initiatives being implemented by local governments around the world that address SCEWC key focus areas in addition to a practical demonstration of the use platform.
The need for stronger measures to address climate change and reduce global warming are on the agenda of most medium and large cities in Brazil and the recent fires in the Amazon rainforest have only highlighted the importance of this. In the second part of the session, Gabriel Bello Barros will present concrete actions being initiated by Brazilian local governments to address these challenges.
