The use presentation at SCEWC 2019 was organised by Metropolis and the City of Berlin, co-founders of the platform.

The use session was introduced by Lia Brum from the Metropolis General Secretariat, to an audience of around forty citymakers. In the first part of the session, use Community Manager, Camille Toggenburger, delivered a power point presentation demonstrating the features of use including the benefits for citymakers and their cities in registering with the platform.
In the second part of the session, Gabriel Bello Barros provided an insider’s view on how Brazilian cities are learning and inspiring other cities to confront major urban challenges. His presentation included initiatives from a number of Brazilian cities, showcasing how national and international knowledge exchange can foster innovation in the field of sustainable urban development. The Rio Operation Center and Brazillab, both published on the use platform, were included in the initiatives presented.
Gabriel Bello Barros encouraged the SCEWC participants to become involved in the use platform as a way to promote their projects to an international audience and connect with citymakers around the globe.
Lia Brum concluded the session by acknowledging the fruitful collaboration Metropolis enjoyed with the City of Berlin in promoting sustainable urban development at the metropolitan level via the use platform.
A vibrant Q&A discussion followed the conclusion of the official presentation.
