The Institute for Culture and Society is one of four flagship institutes at Western Sydney University, Australia. It researches transformations in culture and society in the context of contemporary global change. The Institute champions collaborative engaged research in the humanities and social sciences for a globalising digital age. The Institute is the largest dedicated research concentration of its kind in Australia.

The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at Western Sydney University was the key academic partner of use. ICS was involved in the strategic development of the platform through the Circles of Social Life project.
