I am coordinating the technical development, communications and partnership activities for the METROPOLIS Policy Transfer Platform, helping to build an active network of partner institutions, city networks and leading urban awards with an interest in knowledge sharing.
Besides my work for the international affairs unit of Berlin's Department for Urban Development and the Environment, I am also a research fellow at the Technical University of Berlin on the topic of smart cities and participatory planning. Prior to this I lived in London, where I managed events and digital communications for LSE Cities and the Urban Age Programme and joined a traineeship with the European Commission in the field of environmental communications & strategy in Brussels. In 2014, I was part of the World Mayor Prize jury.
In 2011, I completed my dual masters degree in Global Media & Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, and Fudan University in Shanghai, China. I majored in Corporate Communications for my undergraduate degree at a leading German business school. In the past, I had my own web design consultancy and gained further experience working in the cultural, advertising, publishing and non-profit sectors. I love to travel and learn about new cultures and have lived abroad in France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Singapore and China.
