Dr. Aldwaik is the Director of the GIS and IT Department at Ramallah Municipality. She holds two masters' degrees and a PhD in GIS, Remote Sensing and Sustainability Science from Clark University in Massachusetts, USA. Aldwaik has established the first GIS Municipal System in Palestine. She leads the Ramallah Smart City project that consists of six dimensions, with several strategic projects under each one. Her expertise is in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Disaster Risk Management, Smart Cities & E-services, Urban Planning, Land Change Science, Coupled Human and Natural Systems, Spatial Statistics, & Remote Sensing.
