Hyunsuk Min, Dr.-Ing., is a senior urban planner at the Seoul Institute, the think tank of the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG), South Korea. Since 2006, he has actively studied in the field of urban design and planning, focusing on heritage conservation and utilization, citizens' participation, and the design of cultural facilities. He has issued numerous research reports and academic journal papers in his field. Over the course of 10 years, he successfully led projects on Seoul Future Heritage with the SMG. He has also authored several books, including "Walking into the Sentiments of Seoul," "Conflict and Integration with Modern Residential Cultures," and "Negative Heritage for Forgiveness and Reconciliation." He earned his M.E. in Urban Design and Housing from Korea University, South Korea, and his Dr.-Ing. in Urban Design and Regional Planning from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. Now he is a member of the Specialized Cultural Heritage Committee in the Cultural Heritage Administration.
