I hold a PhD in “Contemporary Latin American Studies” (Universidad Complutense de Madrid-Spain), a Master’s Degree in “International Co-operation for Development” (UCM of Madrid- Spain), a degree in Social Anthropology (UNR-Argentina). I also have an “Stage de Formation Universitaires” in the European Community (Belgique) and one specialization in Social Project Assessment in ECLAC (United Nations Santiago de Chile).

I currently work as a professor and researcher at the National University of Rosario in the Social Anthropology Department, at National University of Mar del Plata in the Doctoral Programme (Argentina) and at FLACSO-Argentina in the Master's Degree: “Gender and Public Policies”.

During the last 20 years I have been working in national and international projects related to applied research and public policies in the fields of participatory democracy, participatory budgeting, gender equality, social inclusion and technical education. These projects have been accompanied by field studies in several countries of South America, including the set-up of fieldwork, data analysis and communication of the results, which includes project evaluation, presentation at conferences and preparation of papers for publication. I have acquired experience as freelance consultant in public polices, political participation, gender approach, project planning, monitoring and assessment from these professional activities for International Organizations (ECLAC, UN WOMEN, EUROSOCIAL, and IOPD).

I have extensive research experience with qualitative methods and analysis. Also, I have evaluated several research projects as well as projects of good practices in local and participative democracy for several institutions (IOPD, CEDIA ECUADOR, FLACSO).

In the last years one of my main areas of interest has been gender equality and the promotion of girls and women's rights concerning access to sciences and technology and technical education. I have coordinated regional research projects and studies on indigenous and afro-descendent women's political participation, equal access to education in Latin America. At the same time I work in participatory budgeting process, political participation and gobernance.
