An Architect and interdisciplinary Urban Researcher with over six years of distinguished international experience in urban heritage conservation and rehabilitation project management. I have been privileged to contribute my expertise in practice and academia to several impactful projects across several countries, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, Qatar, and Egypt. In my capacity as an Urban Heritage Planner at UNESCO, I have demonstrated strong coordination and project management skills in successfully collaborating with organizations and institutions across the five activity regions - Africa, Arab States, Europe and North America, Asia and the Pacific. My focus has been on the management of Historic Cities and Settlements, where I have endeavoured to ensure the implementation of the UNESCO 2011 Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape within the mandate of the 1972 World Heritage Convention. My vision is to continue exploring innovative ways to preserve and sustainably manage our shared cultural heritage for future generations, through capacity-building in local contexts.
