Cultural Heritage

Cultural heritage is a cornerstone for sustainable development, bridging our past with the future and enriching the diversity and vibrancy of communities. It offers continuity in the face of rapid urban and rural transformations.

Deeply interwoven with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, Cultural heritage upholds traditions and identities, notably contributing to SDG 11's aim of building resilient communities through the preservation of cultural sites and practices. Furthermore, it supports SDG 4 by facilitating the transfer of historical knowledge and fostering lifelong learning. Through SDG 8, cultural heritage becomes a catalyst for economic growth via sustainable tourism, creating jobs and celebrating local cultures. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in environmental stewardship, SDG 13, promoting sustainable practices that respect both our heritage and the natural world.
