Bilbao Metropoli 30, a non profit public-private partnership, was created in 1991 to lead the revitalisation process of the metropolitan Bilbao. Its aim is to lead the vision of the future of Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain), to promote initiatives of special interest for the development of the metropolis and cities.
Currently, Bilbao Metropoli 30 is promoting the Urban Revolution Community, open to activists, thinkers, public authorities, companies and international networks from across the world united in a shared quest for urban innovation. As part of this initiative, Bilbao Metropoli 30 is launching the biannual The Bay Urban Visioning Awards, a platform to raise awareness of the urgency for change, to encourage new solutions and their sharing from one city to another, and to showcase and reward, those disruptive and pioneering good urban practices and projects that can form part of the shared learning process.
The Bay Urban Visioning Awards 2024 will be granted to pioneering initiatives and projects around the globe which contribute to a long-term, sustainable, and collaborative vision for the urban regions in question. The awards are based on the following categories:
