Smart City – Social City

Digitalisation plays a central role in almost all areas of our lives and harbours both risks and opportunities. This publication gives an overview of the current context of the Smart City discussion and further defines criteria that characterises a Social Smart City.

The authors ‘goal is for the Smart City - Social City publication “to provide orientation and foundations for policy guidelines and to help municipalities to find a compass for navigating future pathways. Innovations should improve the lives of as many people as possible, make things more attractive and stress-free – and exclude no one.”

 

Through practical examples, the authors’ put the spotlight on  different areas of the digitalization debate that are of key importance to cities and municipalities.
