Each calendar quarter, the use platform focuses on a priority topic relating to the Sustainable Development Goals. The theme serves as the foundation for much of the editorial content published during the quarter. Following on from Just Cities and the Common Good, Green Cities and New Urban Democracy, the next use:topic is Public Space. From January to March 31 2022, the platform will feature essays, interviews, news and case studies related to public space policy and projects - including urban design & renewal, good health and wellbeing, inclusion and equity and cultural vibrancy.
We invite interested citymakers and local governments to contribute
- case studies
- recommendations for publications, reports or other useful resources for our use picks format.
- announcements for events, conferences, awards and other ongoing activities
related to the Public Space topic.
Contributions will be promoted on the use website and via our bi-weekly Community News, twitter feed and further through the Metropolis social media channels and newsletter.
