A new report on the 6th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation has unveiled 15 groundbreaking initiatives that showcase how cities are tackling today's most pressing challenges with unprecedented creativity and impact.

Since its launch in 2012, this prestigious award presented by the City of Guangzhou in partnership with Metropolis and UCLG,  has become a beacon for urban excellence. With 1,635 initiatives from 653 cities across 101 countries now in its portfolio, the Guangzhou Award has earned recognition from the UN Human Settlements Programme as a crucial catalyst for implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the local level.

 

Innovation Meets Impact

The  shortlisted projects from the 6th edition of the Award reveals fascinating trends in how cities are evolving.
