Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality!

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Marked annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:

-   celebrate women's achievements
-   educate and awareness raise for women's equality
-   call for positive change advancing women
-   lobby for accelerated gender parity
-   fundraise for female focussed charities

For IWD 2025, the global campaign theme is #AccelerateAction.

To truly include women means to openly embrace their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image, and how they identify. Worldwide, women must be included in all fields of endeavour. Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all #AccelerateAction.
