The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during where cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
Addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, the theme for 2021 is Together for recovery. The programme is focused on the capacity of the EU and of national and regional governments to support European citizens and their local communities with practical measures and public policies aimed at investing in a just, green and digital recovery.
