We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably) because a green future is a prosperous future.

Earth Day is an annual event that takes place on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

The 2022 Earth Day theme is Invest in Our Planet and features five primary programmes: The Great Global Cleanup, Sustainable Fashion, Climate and Environmental Literacy, Canopy Project, Food and Environment, and the Global Earth Challenge.

Our world needs transformational change. It’s time to hold sectors accountable for their role in our environmental crisis while also calling for bold, creative, and innovative solutions. Action is required at all levels, from business and investment to city and national governments, to meet the climate crisis and seize the opportunities of a zero-carbon future.
