Indigenous people have accrued thousands of years of citizen science knowledge in adjusting to changing environmental conditions. But too often, attempts to learn from Indigenous communities fail to properly account for complex and painful history and the need for reconciliation. Join this course to learn how and why to build productive collaborations with indigenous communities to tackle climate change.
Presented by apolitical, the course will cover:
- Historical context of Indigenous reconciliation and climate change
- Where we are now and what is left to achieve
- Cultural competency
- Case studies from successful collaborations
The course is self-paced and participants can start the course at any time and work through the material at the time that suits them best.
