Climate Action – Call for Content

The time for Climate Action is NOW!

Climate change acts as a crisis multiplier, intensifying numerous global challenges. It accelerates biodiversity loss, threatens food security, displaces populations, and fuels political conflicts. Additionally, it exacerbates public health crises by spreading diseases and increasing air pollution. Climate change also amplifies economic instability through disrupted supply chains, damaged infrastructure and risks to the global financial system. It intensifies social inequalities, jeopardises energy security and leads to the loss of cultural heritage and crucial ecosystem services.

Recognising the urgency of these interconnected threats, Local governments in cities can take immediate action by implementing targeted adaptation strategies, reducing emissions through sustainable urban planning, and engaging communities to drive behavioural changes towards a more resilient and sustainable future.
