Act Now - towards a net zero future!

© The United Nations ActNow campaign

To preserve a liveable climate, greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced to net zero by 2050. The transition to a low-carbon world requires the participation of citizens, especially in advanced economies.

Act Now is the United Nations global campaign for individual action on climate change and sustainability. It was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 24) in December 2018, with a call from Sir David Attenborough in conjunction with the award-winning People’s Seatinitiative.

Take a look at the Act Now action guide and start with these ten actions to help tackle the climate crisis. Our lifestyles have a profound impact on our planet. Our choices matter. From the electricity we use, to the food we eat and the way we travel, we can make a difference.
