Dumas F. Lafontant is an author and cultural critique, and the curator of the Zizi Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Port-au-Prince, Lafontant graduated from the University of Southern California with a master’s in Leadership. His work in Haiti and in his community of Boston highlights social equity. He is the author of two books from Tri-Lingual Press (Cambridge, MA), After the Dust Settles: the next practices for the transformation of Haiti, and the poetry collection, Krik? Krak! Dèyè Mòn Gen Mòn. Lafontant contributes to Potomitan, a web-portal conceived to disseminate Kreyòl language, arts and humanities, and Tanbou, a trilingual magazine. Lafontant is also an accomplished Rara drummer.
