Cyprien Butin is a trained urbanist with six years of experience in the preparation and implementation of donor-funded projects on behalf of central and local governments. He holds a master’s degree in urban policy from Sciences Po, France, as well as a postgraduate certificate in architectural and urban programming from Paris-La Villette School of Architecture. His expertise and practice cover the socio-economic and governance aspects of urban projects and territorial strategies, through (gender-based) participatory diagnoses, environmental and social impact assessments, urban surveys, and by supporting to the definition of operational arrangements. He also also contributed to several articles and institutional publications related to urban and local development issues. He has a sound knowledge and practical experience of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cities.
