Areej is an Architect, graduated in 2018. She is a teaching assistant in the Architecture department, faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, a researcher in the ESU-lab at MU and a member of the Save Mansoura initiative. 

Her master thesis focuses on using online public participation in the urban development of waterfront communities
